We started Sunday with an American breakfast, or more precisely, Mexican cuisine. A huge portion got us started in downtown Denver, but it didn't prepare us for the fact that the car battery died overnight. When we wanted to solve the problem with the car rental company, we learned that such services are not covered and we would have to pay. Fortunately, I have made many friends in Denver over the years. One of them, Josef, went to help us immediately. A few seconds later he was overtaken by an American young man who saw from the window how we were struggling in the parking lot, and especially freezing in deep minus temperatures. So he came down and helped us start the car with the jump cables.

We watched an Avalanche practice at the Family Sports Center, where I first met Eric Lacroix, son of the legendary general manager who is now an analyst. After training we had a quick meeting outside with the very nice Scott Wedgewood, followed by a sit down in the restaurant with Ivan Ivan and a very interesting conversation. Thanks for his time!

Since our schedule changed due to external changes, we took advantage of Ivan's opportunity and thanks to secured tickets, we moved to Loveland for the Colorado Eagles game. A smaller, but family arena with passionate fans offered a tough game with a very unfortunate loss for the home team... We saw Slovakian Maroš Jedlička in action, and after the game there were also fireworks near the venue.

This was followed by a transfer an hour back to Denver. Along the way, we stopped at a Buc-ee's gas station, probably the most famous chain in the US, which just recently opened a branch in Colorado. We saw 120 gas pipes and a huge store, where there were goods from the invention of the world, including a rich selection of food. Buc-ee's is a phenomenon, it's the USA, we could see for ourselves... In the evening we went bowling and ended another busy and successful day.
