Some participants of Eurolanche on Tour XV started their journey to the Vienna airport already on January 13. We finally met on the spot on January 14 at 4:00 a.m. local time, when Eurolanche's fifteenth trip to Colorado began. The flights to Paris and Denver went without any problems. We didn't even waited much, since we were changing terminals in Paris, which took a lot of time.
We arrived in Denver before one o'clock, which was earlier compared to previous trips. Renting two cars was probably the fastest, minor complications only occurred with parking in the downtown and payments for all rooms. Everything was finally resolved and we made it to the Ball Arena with a leisurely walk through a short stop at Union Station. This time, we stay right in Downtown Denver, which will be discussed next time.
We had time to watch the warm-up, greet old and new friends, and finally enjoy a dramatic fight with a real twist and a winning goal in overtime. In my case, the equation was that exactly 24 hours passed from the start of my journey to the airport from home to the puck drop. Fatigue began to show its effects and so we reached the hotel shortly before 11:00 p.m.
