On Tuesday, we completed the longest single trip as part of Tour XV. We drove about 450 kilometers (280 miles), which took us about 6 hours. We started the ride in the morning after seven by moving to the Rocky Mountains. We went through some selected routes as part of Eurolanche for the first time. The first stop was the most beautiful hotel in Colorado - the Stanley hotel, where almost everyone took a tour. The hotel is close to the famous writer Stephen King and is really beautiful. What took us the most was the weather. Cold, mainly windy, snowdrifts everywhere, few cars, difficult conditions for driving through less frequented mountain roads... But we managed it. The scenery and views were worth it.

We stopped for lunch in the city of Fort Collins, where I managed to take a photo with a memorial dog that escorted residents to the train station here decades ago and has an interesting story behind it. This was followed by a move to northern Colorado, just beyond the border with Wyoming. The mountains were gradually replaced by prairies, the plain itself, a completely different environment.

We traveled to a neighboring state to visit the Terry Bison Ranch. Last time it didn't work, this time it did. It is a vast area, but the windy weather made it impossible for us to explore it in detail - except for the main attraction. With a special bus, the staff brought us literally to touch the bison. It was not like in Denver, where there is a big reservation and you can see the bison from hundreds of meters... Here we could touch them through the open door and even feed them like horses. It was an experience of a lifetime. You can see not only this moment, but the whole day in the updated, extensive photo gallery. It was a really beautiful experience and I would love to return to the ranch when I have the opportunity.

Back to Colorado we went through the town of Ault - "A Unique Little Town". Once again, there were prairies all around, a beautiful environment that has the potential for further trips and explorations in the future. We ended the evening at the Denver Coliseum, where we watched the rodeo - there is an annual, big rodeo festival in Denver with lots of activities, so we got to know at least one part of American culture.

A busy day is over, we've had enough, but it was the greatest mix of Colorado nature and experiences I've ever had here in a few hours.
