We spent almost 10 hours on Sunday when we made a new scenic drie to the Rocky Mountains - for the first time in the Invasion history. We started a day with a visit to the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge where we could see buffalos amongst the other animals in the wild nature. After taking photos, the main schedule followed - a trip to the mountains.
The weather wasn't good when it started snowing later that cost us beautiful views and sceneries. Despite this, a journey was still great and everyone was satisfied.
The scenic drive began in Central City where we could see incredible nice buildings and architecture - and casinos too as this town is famous for gamlbing games. After we left the city, we wanted to refill a gas in our car. It was a little bit problem for us to find a gas station in the mountains like every Invasion. But we did it and continuted to the cities of Roseville and Nederland. We saw many cottages on the road - cozy or fancy. It was only few miles of Denver but we had a feeling like we would be on a different planet.
We tried to go to two lakes that are one of the top locations according to tips on the internet, but the road was closed due weather conditions. We finished our journey at the Chapel on the rocks, already familiar location from the past Invasion. As we were driving all day and did not eat much, we had a dinner at the Country Buffett - all you can eat style.
