Heavy snowing hit Colorado on Monday, but it had no chance to attack our plans for the activities. We started a day with a second wave of shopping at the official team's store in Pepsi Center. After that, we were in hurry for our second Avalanche practice in the Family Sports Center. When it finished, we were ready to wait on the players outside a facility despite bad weather. Some of the players showed up. For the first time ever we could talk and meet Mikko Rantanen. Semyon Varlamov also found a time to greet us. Jarome Iginla met us for the second time at this trip. He is a true legend with a great character.
After the practice, everybody except me went to the NBA game between Denver Nuggets and Orlando Magic (I hate basketball). They were satsified with the overall performance and their first time experience.
We had a program together again in the evening when we visited a rodeo show for the first time in the Invasion history. There is a big National Western Stock Show in Denver right now. Some of us liked it, some not, but at the end it was a new experience and another of the show.
Monday's schedule only confirmed a high pace of the Invasion IX - we go forward every minute, don't waste a second and see double new places than ever before.
