A couple of days have passed and the Denver sport fans should be in mourning. The Nuggets, the Mammoth and the Avs have all lost. True, last night the Nuggets played in L.A. and crushed the Lakers, with a little help from Billups who scored a career high 39 points. But before that it was a losing sequence for everybody. Of course, the team we care most, the Avs, were manhandled by the Predators in Nashville. Except for the fact that it was the first NHL meeting of the O'Reilly brothers and that their parents were wearing their sons jerseys – mom had the Avs one – it was no fun at all.

Sometimes I don't know what to think about the boys. They had that great winning streak and after that they started losing... And losing... Now they have four in a row at home and the first one is against the Oilers, tonight. Chances are there will be a record low attendance, but Pepsi Center is used to that. Even last night's Mammoth game had more people in the stands than the last Avs game.

Speaking of the Mammoth, that was my first lacrosse game and it was more exciting that I expected. Sure, they got scored on more than... Well, I won't say more than what, since there are young and impressionable kids that might read this. Let's just say they got scored on a lot. An even dozen, to be more precise. Their last minute surge didn't help a lot, although they scored three goals to bring the final score to 12-5. It was the first and the last lacrosse game that I got to witness in Pepsi Center during this trip. From now on it will be just hockey and some basketball, the Nuggets facing two teams that I never liked, Nowitzki's Mavericks and Parker's Spurs. Well, it's those two guys that I don't like, not the teams. It will feel nice when Birdman and Chauncey will kick their behind. Unfortunately, not Anthony for us, he's out with injury.

But tonight we're going to cheer the Avs and maybe they'll get back on the right track and catch up with the Canucks, that are having a difficult road trip.
