Saturday morning we spent walking around downtown Boston. Specifically, on the "Freedom Trail", which maps all the important sights of this city. We passed about 14 stops important for the history of the USA. Boston is one of the most important and oldest American cities, here you can see the real history of the USA. It is a completely different city than I am used to from our trips. Even the architecture creates the impression that you are somewhere in the Netherlands or Ireland, not in the USA. There is something to see, to learn, but it is also expensive...
The sixth game of Tour XV started at lunch. Some of us sat in the very last row, which cost us over 200 dollars. Crazy prices. The stadium was nice, modern. The performance of the Avs players was poor. What could be done. I saw Boston in action against Colorado for the first time. Of the other teams, I only miss Carolina and Utah.
After the game, we ate, bought supplies for the trip, and settled into the hotel lobby, where we waited for the transfer to the train station. We will set off at eight o'clock local time and arrive in New York City at midnight. We will check in, and the main part of our road trip begins on Sunday, with lots of activities.
Among the highlights of the day, I'd like to mention that I managed to catch a puck from the warm-up with the logos of both teams and the date of the game, and some of us met former Bruins goalie Jaroslav Halák in the stands. Our group photo in front of the arena was broadcasted on the NHL Network and in other countries that rebroadcasted that. And be sure to check out Martin Nečas' photos in the photo gallery, we published them first, faster than the team itself.
