So yesterday we started our day by heading out to see the Red Rocks Amphitheatre. A truly spectacular natural rock formation that created an amazing amphitheatre. The views from the venue were stunning and I can only imagine what a concert would be like. After a quick pit stop at Wendy’s for some lunch we headed over to the airforce academy. We were to be guests of the NHL at the Avalanche practice on the outdoor rink but first a stop at the Academy’s gift shop for some shopping! The practice was a lot of fun to watch and the setting was just spectacular. The area is a lot more intimate than Coors Field so should produce an amazing atmosphere. We finished the day with a trip to the Garden of the Gods. A continuation of the amazing red rock formations found around Colorado. We wandered around these beautiful rocks as the sun was setting, it was a lot of fun.
