Wow what a game that was last night. The Avs totally dominated the jets and came away with a 7-1 victory. Nobody seen that score coming. I did feel going into the game that the Avs would get something based on the Vegas performance and also beating the jets in Winnipeg the week before but the result was beyond my dreams.

After the game it was straight back to the hotel as we had an 3.20am checkout time as we have a flight to Chicago. A short nap later and were off to the airport. Along the way we said our goodbyes to Norbert who is going to Toronto before flying back to Europe. For the rest of us we arrive in Chicago at 9 am and head to our hotel.

We decide to rest up for a few hours and leave the hotel at 2pm and head downtown to sample some of the world famous deep dish pizza. Most of the group tried one each despite the waitress telling us we were crazy and that we should share 1 but we didn't listen. In the end we probably should have as David was the only one able to finish, I just couldn't face the final slice.

After the dinner we walked around downtown Chicago and visited some ofbthet famous tourist attractions and Lake Michigan. Stopping on the way back at Dunkin Donuts as we're all pretty cold. A further walk around downtown to buy souvenirs was unsuccessful as the shops were all closing so we decided after such a long day it was better to get back to the hotel and sleep. Tomorrow the game against the Blackhawks. Don't know how to feel about this one as DeBrincat and Kane have been playing really well this month but their goalies have went the way Colorado's had for the past few months so I'm expecting a high scoring game. Hopefully the Avs come out on top and hang onto the final playoff spot.
