On Wednesday, we went to Loveland, one-hour north of Denver, where we were invited as guests by the Colorado Eagles, the Avs’ AHL affiliate. We watched their practice and showed all our flags to the players as a representation of both Eurolanche and Europe. Afterwards, we were allowed to meet players, asked for the signatures and photos. We even got pucks and hockey sticks, one from the recent Avs draft pick Martin Kaut. We have got many autographs which will be available to our members in various contests. We would like to thank to the Eagles organization and Kevin McGlue for their hospitality and kindness. It was one of the most memorable moments in the Invasion project history.
In the afternoon, we were go shopping in Denver Downtown and had a pre-game snack at our home-restaurant SoBo 151.
In the evening, the Avs kicked Jets’ ass and we really enjoyed it. Wow, seven goals! Some of our participants even participated in the entertainment activities, like a bicycling race for souvenirs or a ride on Zamboni in the second intermission. We will publish those photos and videos of these events soon as well as something special from Kaut and Francouz.
