Early start today. We leave the hotel at 7am for a ride to the world famous Red Rocks Amphitheatre and for the first time on this trip I am beginning to feel the cold as the weather is windy and a temperature of minus 11 but with wind chill feels like minus 14.
Next was a short ride to a town which seemed deserted so we didn't stay long and headed for the ski resort in Vail. The surroundings were pretty awesome. After an hour or so we moved on to a few more resorts and photo opportunities throughout the Rockies mountains.
The best part of the day for me Was the trip to Colorado Gators and having the opportunity to hold a baby alligator was a really cool experience. Also getting to see all the snakes, different breeds of alligators, crocodiles, turtles wolves and emu.
Last stop was a trip to the sand dunes for another photo opportunity. Then the day got really eventful on the side home with having an experience with the u.s cops and also being stuck in traffic as an accident had happened a few hundred yards ahead due to the adverse weather. Overall we drove more than 500 miles and spent near 15 hours driving so everyone was a bit exhausted by the time we arrived back at the hotel.
