Friday's schedule brought visits to the places we had never been before - again. Eurolanche Invasion X schedule is unique. Firstly, we stopped at the FOX 21 studio in Colorado Springs, where we were interviewed on live in their morning show Living Local. You can watch this video on our Facebook page. In four minutes, we said everything important about Eurolanche and Invasion X.
Afterwards, our journey continued in nearby Garden of the Gods, where you can see a typical red-orange rocks. Another beautiful place with amazing sceneries. Check our photo gallery for more photos.
Our next steps continued to the U.S. Air Force Academy area which equals to one city with its measures. A great and big area with everything, including own football stadium. We made a visit there as it was reported it will host the next Avalanche outdoor game in the near future. You can read more about our visit and view photos in a separate story on Eurolanche.com (it will be published soon). Moreover, we made a little tour inside the visitor center, church and surrounding area. We could seen some planes, jets and even soldiers on the field.
Afternoon schedule continued in Pepsi Center. There was scheduled an exhibition game between the Alumni team (former players who had connections with Colorado hockey) and corporates. Alumni team was represented by John-Michal Liles, Jan Hejda and Rick Berry amongst others. We met Liles later at the Avalanche game and he immediately remembered on the Eurolanche whose members he met at the first Invasions. We met also Hejda during one of the intermissions and talked with him over 20 minutes, so we missed a little of the game. We absolutely do not regret it! Hejda has been our greatest hockey player friend for years. He is amazing person and we really appreciate everything he did for us.
And about the game? What to add? AMAZING. WILD WERE BEAT LIKE NEVER BEFORE.
