Our unique schedule continued on Thursday as we had added a new routes and trip locations again. It was all about new attractions which had never been a part of any of the nine past Invasions before. We left in the morning for a long 4-hour drive to the Great Sand Dunes National Park in south Colorado. As one may guess, there are big dunes, actually the biggest in the North America. When we were on the way, we already took dozens of photos of the beautiful Colorado nature, mountains, scenery, plains, snow peaks... one big contrast. The weather was sunny and hot again, so it was ok to had only a T-shirt. At some points of our trip the weather was windy, especially in the dunes, when we had a feeling like we would be in Sahara desert, not in the region known for its high mountains. The dunes were amazing and you can see some beautiful photos (which actually can't show the full reality) in our photo gallery.

After the dunes, we drove to the city of San Luis - the oldest city in Colorado state, established in 1851. Then we drove just across the borders (and took photos of state boards) to the New Mexico, Costilla county. As there was literally nothing, even no restaurant, we drove back to Denver and arrived there in late evening. After six days in Colorado, we have surpassed 1000 miles on road (1600 kms+) that is absolutely crazy.
