We started Tuesday by a visit to the most traditional location of all Eurolanche Invasions - the Red Rocks Amphitheatre. It is very unique place which has hosted the most famous band concerts in the world including Beatles. After we took many photos of the beautiful scenery and views on Denver, we continued for a quick walk to the Morrison town, where you can see a typical midwest American architecture.
The next part of our schedule was a visit to the Avalanche optional practice at the Family Sports Center. Around 10 players participated and they could see our Eurolanche and national flags (from which countries we come this year). It is always a great opportunity to show them we are in the city. Afterwards, we were waiting on the players outside the facility and met bunch of them including Rantanen, Lindholm, Kamenev and even the former Avs player and enforcer Scott Parker. Scott quickly remembered on our last meeting at Invasion VI and chatted with us about that. He is such amazing guy.
Later, I went to the office of the Denver Mayor where I picked up the original congratulatory letter which he sent us earlier on the occasion of our 10th anniversary and the Eurolanche Invasion X. We spent the following hours of the afternoon in Denver Downtown, mainly around the Capitol building and the famous 16th Street Mall. Finally, everyone except me visited NBA's game of the Denver Nuggets in Pepsi Center in the evening.
