What a day... We woke up in New Mexico on Friday and drove thru Texas up to Oklahoma City for an overnight stay. We had arrived them before 7 pm local time which makes it a 10-hour drive for us with many, many stops on the famous Route 66. Be sure to check our updated photo gallery for precise locations stops.
What we saw? Bizarre and rare places like Cadillac Ranch with vehicles put in earth that we could sprayed, rare mini shops, old gas stations, bankrupted motels, abandoned buildings, ghost towns like for example Texola with a cemetery and one-room jail, a mid point where Route 66 cuts in exact half between Los Angeles and Chicago, the original Route 66 with occasionally rough roads, a barbed wire museum (google for more about this rare hobby that has own associations), a memorial of the 1994 terrorist attack in Oklahoma City and much more.
We could go into very details about this day. To describe beautiful, sunny weather, atmosphere of the old America... Yes, we will do it later. Anyway, it was one of the top days in Eurolanche's history. The only shame is time. We don't have it, so we had to be fast at some locations and skip something as well.
