A visit to Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge brought incredible sceneries of animals living there, especially bisons, eagles and more. Incredible environment, views of both prairies and mountains were stunning. Go to our photo gallery to get a proof. Such a lovely place. Never ever experienced such views.
Tour of the Coors Field followed in the afternoon. Full of information about the game, team and stadium have expanded our knowledges in the area of a sport that is not so popular back where we live. The ball park is incredible. Like a mini town. Do you know the cheapest tickets starts at 6 dollars? The ball park is right in Downton Denver. It must be great atmosphere in sunny days with friends visiting the game. We hope to make it one day at our Tour.
After the lunch we toured Stranahan's the local Colorado whiskey distillery. Participants enjoyed tasting mostly... At both tours, there were people who had recognized us as Eurolanche crew. It's really like that. Random people greet us almost every day and wish us all the best.
Our first loss occurred in the evening. A game of emotions and hope in an overturn. Afterwards we drove for two hours to small town of Florence for the beginning of our road trip to Dallas. What a shock it was when a half-naked guy from the hotel told us that hotel has rebranded recently to some kind of shelter and he has no rooms to us. When a random girl with a blanked and two different socks appeared in the lobby for some ice at 12:30 am, we laughed in such bizarre situation.
Booking.com has confirmed it was obviously the hotel's fault, so we had to wait on some alternative and fast rebooking. At 1 am, we all were siting in our two vans and start at the ADX Supermax prison right over the street where the infamous criminals are spending a rest of their lives, e.g. El Chapo. Bizarre by bizarre.
Booking.com wasn't helpful. So we drove to the only nearest town in this area in a desperate search for some rooms and beds. When we called the number on one of the motel's doors, a manager or whoever told us he is at the hospital, but would call Cindy at the desk to help us. A minute later the same awakened guy concluded Cindy is still sleeping and thus he can't help us. Fortunately, another hotel was right behind this one and their receptionist was more than helpful. You can see how situations bring Tours as well as the USA in general.
