So once again another busy day. We started with a trip to the city of Golden, founded during the gold rush of the mid 1800’s. It’s now famous for being the home of the world’s largest single site brewery, Coors. We had a tour of the facility followed by a little beer tasting, a perfect start to the day.

Lunch today was at Casa Bonita, for any South Park fans it will need little introduction! After lunch we headed to Stanahans Distillery. It’s the oldest micro distillery in the state of Colorado.

After another insightful tour and several glasses of whiskey it was time to head to Pepsi Center to watch the Avs take on the Lightning. It was by far the best game of the trip so far. The atmosphere was great, both teams played fast and free flowing hockey. It’s easy to see why both teams lead the NHL in offence. After a great comeback from 3-1 down to force overtime unfortunately the Avs couldn’t capitalise on their chances and the Lightning won in OT.
