One may think we would need a rest after a loooong journey from Europe to Colorado. No, we did not. On our first full day in Colorado, we got up really, really early and drove for four hours to the most famous winter resort in the world - Aspen. We rented skis for cross skiing and went to the Maroon Bells, the most iconic scenery in the US. We tried. It was really hard, long way and most of us did this sport for the first time in their lifes. So we did not reach the final destination and turned back to the parking lot after two hours. Anyway, it was getting dark soon, so it was good idea. In total, we did cross skiing for three hours. It was really hard. After that, we drove to the Glenwood Hot Springs for one and half hour relax. We needed like anything before. It was challenge for me to drive back and I almost fall asleep, but we made it safely back to our hotel.
