We wake up in early morning on Thursday in order to make it on time on the most unique trip in the Invasion history - to Mexico. Los Angeles is only two hours of the borders, so the time wasnt't our enemy. We were driving along the West Coast and so could take many amazing pictures despite heavy wind. We also saw many fanc and rich houses. Everytyhing seemed so ideal and beautiful.
We had to cross Mexican borders on foot as the car rentals companies do not allow to use their cars in Mexico or Canada - or they do but for really expensive fees. The crossing itself went smoothly and fast. A border officers just asked us what we are going to do in his country and stamped our passports. We had no idea how complicated it could be on a way bac to USA. We saw so many cars entering the USA and almost nobody driving to Mexico. So we decided to spent only 90 minutes in Tijuana. This city is the closest to the USA, but there are big differencies. We saw destroyed houses, poor people, poverty. At the local market, we bought some souvenirs, tacos and beers. It was amazing experience. We came to the USA for hockey, but suddenyl we were in Mexico. You will be able to read a report from this trip after Invasion at our website. There was any problem walking back to the USA.
Then we were driving for 90 minutes to Anaheim fir the game against Anaheim Ducks. It was tough and unfortunate loss again, but we were the loudest fans in the building, despite we sat in the last rows. The Avs even mentioned us on their Twitter.
