Finally, after 24 hours of the trip, not “only” 22 as I wrote before, we came to Denver to our accommodation facilities. The journey from Europe to North America had begun on Thursday´s early morning of the Central European time (CET). Before that, two of four members of the Invasion V stayed awaked during whole night. The reason? They watched Avs – Blackhawks game.
After 6 am, we were waiting on the bus in Bratislava, Slovakia. Then we moved to the airport close to Vienna, Austria. Flight to Washington took under 10 hours. Very old and ugly planed fortunately offered good food service at least. We should thanked to God there was nobody between us, so that seat remained empty, what we were using a lot during the flight.
If you remember, last time, when we were going to Denver via Washington during the Invasion IV, we had only one hour for the joining the connecting flight in the capital city. Now, we had four hours, what we had enjoyed a lot. There is nothing worse than be tired and stressful. After one hour in the queue for the immigration control, we finally could chat with our family and friends in the waiting room.
The flight from Washington to Denver took 3 hours and 30 minutes, but at least for me it seemed longer then flight from Europe to Washington. Finally, at 20:40 local time (04:40 CET) we landed in Denver.
Friday would be a big day for us: first shopping of the Avalanche souvenirs and an evening´s game against Blackhawks.
