We started the last full day in Colorado with a visit to the Red Rocks amphitheater, which we could see for the first time in the history of the trip in preparation for the evening concert. There were a lot of people there, staff, visitors or athletes. It was one of many contrasts when I compare how everything looks in Denver in the winter when we usually go here. We also thought about visiting a concert at Red Rocks, but the performers did not attract out attention.

Our next steps were directed to the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge, which is a reserve with animals, especially bison. It is huge, you can drive along it by car, from which you can observe the animals. It is always an interesting experience, during which beautiful photos are taken - you can find them in the updated photo gallery. In the immediate vicinity is the soccer stadium of the MLS team, Colorado Rapids, which we saw for the first time. A children's soccer tournament was taking place right next door with hundreds of participants.

We couldn't even miss our most common activities - eating and shopping. For lunch, we stopped at the Tocabe restaurant, which serves "langos" - very famous food in the Czechia and Slovakia, which is what they call Indian tacos here. I think we all enjoyed it. Shopping led us to Walmart, from where we rushed to the hotel to pack. It was interesting, as we traveled with only small suitcases, which was another difference from traditional tours during the winter season.

We spent the evening in the Czech hockey bar and restaurant SoBo 151, where we have friends. Our Czech friends came, but also Americans. We enjoyed Pilsen, played billiards, watched the shocking loss of the Denver Nuggets and then walked for more than an hour to the Ball Arena, where we finished the Eurolanche on Tour XIV.

On Monday morning, our journey home began. We are flying via Montreal to Vienna, where we will arrive on Tuesday morning European time. Thanks to everyone who watched our first playoff trip to Colorado. It was a lot different than during the regular season, but I think we are all satisfied, even if the hockey results could have been better... Full coverage with photos and videos can be found at Tour.Eurolanche.com. I believe that in the 2024/25 season, Eurolanche will return to Denver for a longer period than usual.
