Back from a long and busy day in the Pepsi Center and in Colorado's bars. First of all, the day started with the most important thing: the game between the Colorado Avalanche and the Anaheim Ducks...The first Eurolanche Invasion II game. The game was very intersting and good in many ways. Nevertheless our team lost 4-3. Because of partly sloppy plays on defense again. The game started great with a goal and a TKO bei Cody McLeod on Steve Montador of Anaheim. But after that, things changed a little bit. The Avs had some really great chances in the final minute, when they pulled the goalie. But the could not manage to score the tying goal. After that, we finally had our first meeting with some players. It started with a few troubles getting to the players. But we managed to stay somewhere near the players exiting the Pepsi Center. As Peter Budaj saw us, he recognized that we are from Eurolanche and went directly to us very friendly, although they have lost. He asked us if our trip was ok and everything went alright. So again, Peter, as you can read, is such a great and friendly guy! After that he said, that he will manage the meeting-player-problems for the next two games. Nevertheless we shouted the names of some players, when we saw them going by and most of them were very friendly and came to us. So we also managed to meet and talk to Marek Svatos, John Michael Liles, Brett Clark and Cody McCormick. We also had some close contact to some Anaheim-players like Brett Hedican and Scott Niedermayer. Afterwards we left the Pepsi Center and decided, to watch the Lacrosse-game in the evening. So we went shortly for 2 beers and dinner, and went to the Center againn in the evening for the lacrosse-game, which was also a great experience. So all in all it was a busy, funny and exciting day for us Eurolanche-members. tomorrow will follow a practice-session-visit at the family sports center...so stay tuned for the further coverage!
