Eurolanche made two attempts to reach the Pike's Peak in the past Tours but both were not successful due to bad weather conditions that a local COG railway could not handle and then had to return back to the main station from the middle of the road. Everything is now past. After the railway reconstructions and at the new train we were able to went thru clouds, fog and bad weather in order to reach sunny, windy and cold summit at 4 267 meters or 14 115 feet of one of the most famous peaks in the USA. A ride took one hour up and less than hour to down. You can check the beautiful sceneries and views of the Rocky Mountains in our photo gallery. We spent less than an hour at the peak by having a snack and reading some interesting facts about this mountain.

Afterwards we drove to the mining town hidden in the mountains, Cripple Creek. We had only a few minutes to explore the local Outlaws & Law Men Jail Museum that included not only the real prison cells but interesting stories of the Coloradoan criminals too. This was joined by incredible nature and sightseeing drives around. This area and town have been hidden jewel. Eurolanche will be back there in the future for a full day trip at least. By the way, we drove more than 4 hours on this day, but no one realize it as most of us have been adapted on the local feeling of the distances much better. Especially after we experienced on the road trip to Dallas.

We had enjoyed a huge win in the evening finally. Moreover we met many local Avs fans in the second intermission, with most of them we are in a regular contact online. Some of them did not know each other that has been changed yet. Such meetings we have this Tour at almost every game and I have to say it's more than comfortable. Thanks to everyone for their support as well as to Marc Moser and his wife Karin for the post game meeting.
