On Friday we left our hotel in early morning as we were ready to explore Tijuana, a border town in Mexico. With multiple stops on a way along the California coastline we finally made it to the parking lot at the US side of the border after nearly four-hour driving. I have remembered our first "walk" to Tijuana from three years ago, so it was pretty similar how we got into Mexico without any problems. This year, we had a longer walk to the main street of Tijuana, we had a time to check multiple shops and some of us including me used it for buying crazy souvenirs, as for example the Avalanche poncho. Yes, one of the sellers called to someone as they had nothing with Avs logo in the store, and someone had brought it there in few minutes. What a souvenir! Of course I had to wear it along with a sombrero to the game against Anaheim Ducks in the evening. We enjoyed our first away win of the Invasion XII, especially when Francouz has gained his first NHL shutout and Kaut his first NHL point. A trip to Tijuana has become one of the top moments of a trip, so be sure to check our new photo gallery soon.
