Today we had to amend or schedule as the Avalanche had cancelled practice after last night's disappointing loss so that left us with a decision to make, what do we do today?

In the end it was decided that we would take a drive to South Park village to get some souvenirs and photos of the town. Afterwards we went on a drive to Brekenridge ski resort and onto a animal refuge in the hope to see some buffalo and bison. Overall we only managed to see one bison but plenty of deer.

A short drive later and we arrived in Loveland in order to go see the Colorado Eagles and more importantly the Avalanche future in players Kaut and Francouz.

The game was fast paced with San Antonio having the better of the first period but the teams go in at the break tied 2-2 with the Eagles penalty kill getting one of two shorthanded goals of the night. In the second period the eagles grew more into the game and come away at the end with a 5-3 win. The only down point being an injury to Kaut when he blocked a shot with about 90 seconds left to play.

Tomorrow is the last day of the invasion but may be the best one yet. An opportunity to see the Avalanche practice but also a potential meeting with Joe Sakic then the small matter of the final game against the Vancouver Canucks.
